Ayo Game is a traditional board game enjoyed across Africa, as well as in select regions of Asia, the Americas, and the Caribbean. Belonging to the Mancala family of strategy board games, Ayo Game's first iteration was crafted by Bonako and is inspired by two popular variants of the game - Pia and Seca, known in the Cape Verde Islands.
With roots believed to date back to ancient Egypt during the time of the pharaohs, Mancala has journeyed across continents, finding its way to various parts of Asia, Africa, the Americas, and the Caribbean - even amidst historical events such as slavery.
Regarded as one of the oldest board games in existence by many scholars, Mancala is often dubbed the 'African Chess', challenging players with its intricate strategies while fostering skills in mathematics, calculation, and creativity.
Ayo Game is known by a multitude of names including Awari, Adi, Awale, Wori, Oware, and many more - each moniker representing the varied interpretations and regional adaptations of this esteemed game.
Bonako introduces a digital rendition of Ayo/Mancala that captivates with its realistic 3D scenes. Dive into multiplayer matches with friends from any location, vying for supremacy on the global player rankings.
